Description
Intellikine, Inc., a San Diego-based biotechnology company, is developing
best-in-class signaling network inhibitors to address significant unmet medical
needs. Intellikine is looking for motivated, experienced and enthusiastic
individuals to join our drug discovery team. The successful candidate will
design and execute PK/PD, biomarker-guided efficacy in vivo oncology studies
to support the company’s drug discovery efforts as part of a multi-disciplinary
team.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist in development and validation of animal models of human cancers
for evaluating efficacy of small molecule drugs
- Conduction of animal handling, drug administration/injections and blood/tissue
collections
- Detailed routine documentation, organization/interpretation of data, and
periodic formal presentation of all work
- Supporting the company’s infrastructure needs with regard to pharmacology
and pharmacodynamics
Required Experience and Skills
- B.S. in pharmacology with 5 or more years of experience, or M.S. with 3
or more years of experience
- A broad knowledge and proven ability to set-up and execute oncology disease
models for PK/PD and efficacy studies
- Experience in cell biology
- A commitment to high-quality research and to the execution of research
plans in a timely and organized manner
- Self starter able to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Good laboratory practice and high safety standards
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
